Imagine you’re a teenager again.
You have nothing left of your current knowledge.
Nothing, but one lesson.

I ask this question to inspiring, special and exciting people. I collect their answers and make them accessible as part of nothing · but · one · lesson.

When selecting the characters, it's not about finding the best-known celebrities. I am looking for people who are celebrated in their niche for their success, their knowledge or their wisdom, but who may be completely unknown to the general public. People who are passionate about their subject and are impactful in what they do.

I am convinced that we can learn something from everyone, even if we don't seem to have much in common at first glance.

Why nothing · but · one · lesson?

This website is a private project of the heart. A public poetry album. I don't want to earn any money with nothing · but · one · lesson. On the contrary: everything on this website is explicitly free.

I am inspired by stories of hidden champions. Of individuals who have had a positive impact on the world. Be it through science, entertainment, entrepreneurship or culture.

I have long wished for an exchange with these people in order to learn from their experiences, their mistakes and their world view.

I firmly believe that knowledge should be treated as a shared good and must be available to everyone.
That is why there is nothing · but · one · lesson.

The thoughts behind it

nothing · but · one · lesson invites you to browse. There is deliberately no grouping by gender, age, origin or popularity. Just an alphabetical list of names. Design elements and colours are intentionally reduced to a minimum.

You should be able to fully immerse yourself in the respective lesson without being blinded by the supposed topic or level of popularity. The quotable of each lesson is supplemented by a longer descriptive text that adds more context.

Of course, a lesson also includes a short portrait of the individual behind it.

Who am I?

My name is Luis Q. Haitzer. I am a software engineer and designer from Munich. In addition to my job in a medium-sized company, I also work on a number of projects as a self-employed person. In everything I do, it is important to me to set a positive example. To inspire people and show them opportunities.

Your turn: Suggest a person

nothing · but · one · lesson thrives on the greatest possible diversity of different personalities and backgrounds. From people I probably don't know myself yet.

If you think someone would be a perfect fit for nothing · but · one · lesson but is still missing from this list, please send me your tip to more@nothing-but-one-lesson.com.
If you have personal contact with this person — and can perhaps even give me an intro — all the better.
